10. Your house turns into a flurry of activity with nothing ever feeling done or clean enough.
9. Big projects are finally getting started (as in the great room swap has begun and entered phase one with little boy #1 finally exiting the crib to get ready for little boy #2).
8. Your husband starts to grow weary of your honey-do list which contains ever more obscure requests (such as cleaning the ceiling fans- in his mind, how does that relate to a baby?).
7. You can't go anywhere without someone giving you a look or making a comment about your belly, or if you're really unfortunate, giving it a little rub or pat. Church is super fun right now with the over 60 set who all feel the need to state the obvious. My current favorite, shared after laughing as I walked the whole length of the hall, "You just look sooooo....pregnant." Really? That's the best you can do?
6. You hear terms tossed around like "at a 2, 70% effaced, with a super soft cervix." You know these terms really mean nothing in terms of when the baby will come.
5. You have a frequent flier card to see your OB/midwife and love to people watch while there so often. Most interesting find at the last appointment was the heavily-cologned (as in could smell him 50+ feet away) well-dressed black man anxiously asking the lab tech how soon he'd get results as he handed her an envelope that said "alleged father." Then you say prayers of gratitude that your circumstance is much more favorable than the man with too much cologne.
4. Your fuse is short. Really short. And instead of all the lovey moments you hope to have in the last few weeks with your family as you've known it for the past few years, they'd really rather not be around you because you've become quite unpleasant.
3. Said unpleasantness could be related to the ever shrinking amount of sleep obtained during the night time, readying you for many sleepless nights to come.
2. The popular pregnant mini-series "My Body: The Science Experiment" suddenly reaches a whole new graphic level.
1. Tears, tears, tears. Whether you're happy or sad, this seems to be the only way to expel the excess of emotions currently filling every space that the baby isn't filling.

You are so close! Way to go on the room swap! What did you decide?
Oh Christina! Isn't it amazing the things we go through to bring a child into this world? You've been in my thoughts and prayers continually and I hope if you need anything you can feel free to call me!
#5 is cracking me up!!! I really wish you had been there for the verdict. How's Sam adjusting?
Keep up the good work! Your list is terse and correct. "Alleged father" sounds so wretched. Did you ever do the quilts you linked and, by the way, do you remember where that was? I hope Sam loves his new big boy bed. It's all going to work out great!
