In the Mean Time In Between Time

Ah, the honeymoon between Christmas and the New Year. Loving it here. Christmas was fantastic this year. We chose to scale back in many ways, and it was lovely. The low point of the day was a scene similar to this:
Somehow as we made it down our street we slid into the snowbank at the end and high centered. Embarrassing for this to happen on our own street, and it took about 40 minutes to get unstuck. It left such an impression on Addie that every time we've gone somewhere since, she announces upon our arrival, "Oh good! We didn't get stuck in the snow!". We played games together and Pat's mom put together a basket of prizes that the game winners drew from which was a huge hit. We opted for a low key menu that day, enjoyed time together, and were truly blessed. The high point (at least for me personally) is this:
